Company History

PT. BUMIPUTERA-BOT FINANCE ("BBF") is a joint venture company established in 1982 based on Ministry of Finance Decree No. 463/KMK.013/1992 dated on May 13, 1992 which have Establishment Deed No. 111 dated 10 September 1982 by Notary Kartini Muljadi SH, Minister of Justice (MoJ) Approval No. C2-26 HT.01.01.TH.83 dated 4 January 1983. BBF is a member of the Indonesian Financial Services Association registered and supervised by the Financial Services Authority ("OJK").

The main shareholders are BOT Lease Co., Ltd, a Japanese Leasing Company as one of the members of MUFG and AJB Bumiputera 1912; a major Indonesian life insurance company. In business for over 30 years, BBF is one of the oldest Japanese leasing companies in the region. Until January 2022, BBF has 127 employees and has 2 (two) Branch Offices in Bandung and Surabaya.

In November 2015, BBF extend its business purpose and activities into investment financing, working capital financing, multipurpose financing and other financing business activities based on the approval of the Financial Services Authority. This is in accordance with OJK Regulation Number 29/POJK.05/2014 which been amended by OJK Regulation Number 35/POJK.05/2018 regarding Business Conduct of Finance Company. Currently, the Company's business activities focus on finance lease, sale and leaseback, and installment financing which categorized under investment financing.

Since 2013, company changes its direction from retail into corporate financing. The facility type also changes from multi purposes financing with instalment to be mainly providing investment financing with finance lease and sales and lease back. The financing unit was mostly heavy equipment, machinery, and commercial vehicles.

The Principles of Good Corporate Governance

The Company shall ensure that the principles of GCG shall be applied in every aspect of business and every organs of the Company including their subordinates.
The five basic principles of GCG which shall be implemented in the Company comprise of:

Transparency

The Company shall provide a transparency in decision making process and a transparency in disclosing and providing relevant information regarding the Company, which is easily accessible for the Stakeholders in accordance with the prevailing laws and regulations in the field of financing and the standards, principles and practices of healthy financing business implementation.

Accountability

The Company shall implement procedures to clarify the function and the implementation of the responsibility of the organs of the Company so that the Company’s performance shall be transparent, fair, effective and efficient.

Responsibility

The Company shall ensure the compatibility of the Company’s management with the laws and regulations in the field of financing and ethical values as well as the standards,principles and practices of healthy financing business implementation.

Independency

The Company shall be managed independently and professionally and free from Conflict of Interest and influence and pressure from any parties which not in accordance with the laws and regulations in the field of financing and ethical values as well as the standards, principles and practices of healthy financing business implementation.

Fairness

The Company shall observe the principles of equality, balance and fairness in fulfilling the rights of the Stakeholders which arise based on agreement, laws and regulations and ethical values as well as the standards, principles and practices of healthy financing business implementation.



The above principles will be reflected in all policies of the Company which are implemented by the organs of the Company including its employees for the benefit of the Company itself and the benefit of other Stakeholders.

BBF has a mechanism for customer complaints and dispute settlement. It is the implementation of Financial Services Authority regulation (POJK No.1/POJK.07/2013) regarding Consumer Protection in Financial Institution Sector. By having this mechanism, customers can submit their complaint to company.
